About Shenango About Shenango

Company & Product Description

Shenango Screenprinting, Inc. specializes in printing on unusual flat-stock, such as plastics, cardboards, vinyls, and metals. The small business employs six to eight people who take great pride in its reputation for high quality silk-screenprinting and exceptional customer service. Shenango has been successfully serving its customers since 1987, with continued growth allowing for a 1997 expansion into a 6,000 square foot plant in Post Falls, Idaho.

The company claims skilled expertise in printing on corrugated polypropylene, and is also building a strong reputation in reflective signage. Customers rest assured knowing their products receive the same meticulous attention to detail which has kept the company strong in a challenging industry.

Typical Printing

Miscellaneous plastic signs for indoor and outdoor use, point of purchase displays, real estate yard signs, political posters, magnetic vehicle door signs, vinyl decals, metal tags, reflective road signs, trail marking systems, Forest Service travel posters, campground signs and much more.

Unique Printing

Wooden coat hangars, plastic pianos, rubber pads, waterslide decals for ceramics, three ring binders, replica decals for antique 1/3 scale flying airplanes, machinery face plates, wooden calendars and stepladders, glass and Plexiglas clocks, miniature name tags and giant "No Wake" signs.

Unique Name?

Not really. The Shenango River flows through the Shenango Valley in western Pennsylvania, where hundreds of municipalities and private enterprises share the name in one form or another. Shenango Steel and Shenango China were once world powers in their industries, but are now nothing but memories. Prior to the Industrial Revolution the Shenango River was a part of the Erie Canal system, and before colonial days it was lined with Shenango Indian Villages (a.k.a. "Kuskuskis"). These people were part of the once populous Seneca Tribe, known for their corn planting and mountaineering skills. They were members of the Confederacy of Six Tribes comprising the fabled Iriquois Nation. The company logo is historically accurate and is intended to honor and keep their memory alive.
